"GOAT", "savage", and depending on which slang meaning you're talking about "dead", are probably the only ones I would use, and even that not often.

zoomer slang sucks

According to Robert Chapman and Barbara Kipfer's Dictionary of American Slang, slay first appeared in the English language in the 16th century as a trendy way to describe impressing someone so much they lose control of their emotions and die. It was most commonly used in the context of laughing oneself to death.

I teach in Korea as well and a few years ago I had students singing I'M IN LOVE WITH THE COCO.

I had to explain why I was shocked.

The earliest account of the word shook (as past tense of shake) goes back to Old English its old.
We can find the figurative shook, or extremely upset or moved in some way, in the 1800s. It can be positive or negative, such as being shook with a religious experience or being shook by a catastrophe.

I dont use any of them, I only know what a couple mean. I wouldnt use class time teaching worthless "words" that most likely wont even be used in 5 to 10 years, especially when they have to cram so much for . But if it grabs their attention enough to teach useful stuff then I suppose its fine. How did you teach them anyway? Was their English level high enough they could understand after it was used in context and you explained the meaning or did you try to give some Korean equivalent?

This wasn't a real lesson. It's the final week of the semester here and we just had to post an online assignment for them (we didn't hold any actual classes this week). I gave them two assignments. The first was to watch a video that explains each word, then they take a quiz on the definitions.
The 2nd assignment, I made a fake text message conversation using all the vocab to show them how to use them in sentences, then they had to make their own fake text conversation using at least 5 of the words.

As far as their curriculum goes, they don't learn anything in their English-speaking classes that will help them on the . Their English exams aren't focused at all on practical English. It's honestly ridiculous.

I use these words in the regular sense, but not in the slang sense. I don't know what "snatched" or "shady" mean in the slang sense

8. Lit
9. Dead
I use these in the regular sense and have occasionally used them in the slang sense. I only used them in the slang sense ironically though; specifically for the purpose of jokes

4. On fleek
5. GOAT
I have never used these terms, and I will never use them under any circumstance
