For the last month USPS has been saying tracked mail has been delivered and my box will be empty. I made an online inquiry about 2 pounds of coffee because usps said a slip was in my box for instructions and no such slip was delivered. The coffee would fit in my mailbox.

I just checked the tracking and USPS returned the coffee to sender as undeliverable address.

They also misdelivered my bank checks.

My local FedEx guy tells me if he has to go too far out, he will scan packages as delivered and drop them off the day after. USPS and FedEx are shit.

probably some bad luck. i had a ps5 controller undelivered and they have to send another.
i'm 10 days without my order it should've been 8.

Why does USPS get lumped in with FedEx in the context of this anecdote? The scenario described here is just plainly unethical and reeks of incompetence and a lack of concern for the customers peace of mind. If you are scanning a package delivered and then curtailing it, you shouldnt still have a job.

I deliver to a route that has 1350 addresses, I deliver around 8% of the total parcel volume out of an office that has 68 routes. I know every single one of my customers by name, and will go out of my way to make sure they get whatever dumb fuck serotonin hit they need on the two day cycle. It really upsets me when people shit talk the organization as a whole, when the problem is lazy individual carriers and apathetic supervisors, who are a cancer that every office has to put up with.

Most carriers I work with have a lot of pride in their work and strive to provide exceptional service to their customers. Ive cried at a customers passing, returned lost dogs, taken time to help people carry in groceries. I genuinely care about my customers and I have 6 years of zero unresolved complaints to demonstrate that. So by all means, talk shit on YOUR carrier, but dont throw us all under the bus cuz of their shittiness.

I'm currently having the same issue with a package. We're also having problems with the USPS at work...

Go to your local post office. Whenever I have issues I go in. At least at mine everyone is very helpful.

This is true actually.

For me it has been all of my non letters in the last 2 weeks. The post office needs to give a heads-up to people who do not do the route regularly.

There is a local issue responsible for misdelivery. The entire south section of Chicago has numbered streets that are first streets and then places.

23rd st, 23rd pl and so on. However in my neighborhood the addresses are along streets and places whereas in newer areas the lots were divided along north-south arteries. The upshot of this is that only in a small part of Chicago do you have to deliver to 1905 W. 23rd Place and have to distinguish from 1905 W. 23rd Street.

Chicago needs to change the streets :(.

I am still hoping I get my bank checks. (And I did order some Death Wish coffee but this will be delivered locally).

The grocery delivery with coffee was at my door. So I can manage.

I got my 2 pounds of Ethiopia Yergacheffe. UPS surepost printed up a label that would require a magnifying glass to read and the scan code was messed up with ink smear.

I am so glad I got it and I do feel bad about postal workers having to trudge through snow and over ice.
