Besides for the very start, yeah. Considering you still go through the village later at night its a weird change, although I guess its to make the first village fight scarier

I feel the opposite.

I think that there's a very high chance that they'll fuck this up. I didn't like Village at all and felt that the 2 and 3 remakes weren't great.

Well, in terms of Resident Evil for example:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, REmake, Revelations 1 and 2, 7.

I think those are all good or great games.

To be fair, I'm not exactly current with a lot of games. I fell behind years ago and have felt that not catching up largely works in my favour.

As I'm not really into online gaming, by the time I get to a game it might be considered old but it's often cheap and patched so I pay less for the better experience.

I did really enjoy Yakuza:Like A Dragon though.

Almost the entire game takes place at night in the original as well so that doesn't sound like much of a change. Anyway I think they actually won't fuck this one up like they did with 3. They seem to care about 4 a lot more so I think they'll give it the proper treatment.

So does this mean in 10-12 years we'll be playing remakes of RE6 and RE7?

And then we'll start "resident evil re-remakes", and continue the cycle?

Game design today is bereft of new ideas, just looking to remake and reimagine everything.

They better not fuck up Ashley's ballistics. RE4 VR's censorship has me worried

I wish a vast majority took place during the day in the Village area. I want to spend more time there.

In all honesty, I'm not sure what people love about the remake for 2 so much.

I feel like by taking the original and largely remaking it over the shoulder, it gives you the worst of both worlds. Fixed camera angles create tension and atmosphere that I didn't feel in this one. Over the shoulder allows for great action like in 4 and 5, but it didn't really have that either.

Remake 2 >>> Original 2 imo.

I can see it. I liked 2 Remake but the whole "Side A/Side B" thing was drastically toned down for the remake compared to the original. It cut out a few enemy types as well, IIRC.

Make the island shorter, pls.

Expanding Ada's campaign will be good. I was so sure they were going to make that post-launch DLC.

I havent kept up with news on this, is it being remade in the style of the recent 2 and 3 remakes?

Yeah. Once you beat Del Lago (I think that's what the lake boss was called) and Leon passes out the rest of the game took place at night.

wonder if it'll still be in chapters or they'll make it seamless with the cuts just being cutscenes instead.

Why would the police risk driving across that bridge at the start, and entering a hostile environment after dark? I dont like that change honestly.
