the futurama announcement kind of stole its thunder

anyway its still good in season 4 imo. Not as funny as it could be but the plotting makes up for it

I will catch up soon.

Fell off after the first seasom. Does it get better? None of the jokes hit for me.

I was thinking of doing so someday when it had a lot of episodes to binge.

I'm don't remember if I saw season 3.
It's not that great of a show but I'll still watch it.

Eh, I think seasons 2-3 were the same as 1. Good story but jokes are hit and miss with nothing memorable.

Been waiting for someone to make a topic about this show. What is it about is it any good? It looks like a Futurama

I don't remember anything either. I was going to watch season 4 but then I was going through 3 and couldn't remember any of it...then I was like, should I rewatch season 3 first?

ep. 1 was pretty good

I dont hear much buzz about this show, Im kinda surprised its lasted so long. Maybe Groening is funding it, or maybe its more popular than I think. Ive certainly enjoyed it, though yeah the comedy doesnt usually reach the levels of Futurama or The Simpsons. Sometimes it does, though.

2 was weaker than 1, 3 was as good or better than 1.

I feel like there's more focus and emphasis on the grander plot than the comedy. The plot is decent and there are some Futurama type touching moments, they just need to find a better balance of story and comedy because it's basically an adventure dramady. It's juuuuust good enough to keep watching imo

It was at it's best for the short stretch where they'd just visit a new kingdom every episode. It was similar to Futurama visiting a new planet every episode. Even still, the overarching plot is engaging. I'll watch it within a week or two.

Also, did anyone ever watch that stop motion shit show on hulu? Crossing Swords I think. It has the exact same plot as Disenchanted. It's bizarre. It's also not very good. So if you haven't seen it, I do not recommend.

It has been fully serialized since season 2

They really need to do a better job at getting the word out there when new episodes drop on Netflix. I've actually been looking forward to the new season, but had no idea when it was coming out and might have missed it entirely if it wasn't for this post.

I thought that a lot of it was real episodic for most of S2 and 3. Aside from the first and last episodes of a season, all of the episodes seemed fairly contained imo.

I mean, episodic in that each episode has some sense of an A-plot, but also each one picks up pretty much exactly where the previous episode left off

lol they re-rated the whole series TV-MA, and Im pretty sure its just because of a scene where they show Zogs dick for a split second from a distance (at least halfway through the season)

I've watched season 1-3 and to be honest I kind of have no interest in watching season 4. It always feels like it's building up to something and then nothing happens. I'm glad it's not throwing pop culture references like it's a Family Guy episode but at the same time I just have no idea what the show wants to be.

Wow they must be fully confident theyre getting another season, because that did not end in any sort of satisfying conclusion

Well went against my interest and binged all season 4 and yes the show still has the exact same problem as the previous seasons, nothing ever gets resolved. It's just one giant tease until the next season where there will always be more questions than answers.

I feel like they are trying to indicate this by calling each season parts

probably will be a better binge if they actually do have an endgame
