Jurassic Park wasn't a mindless popcorn movie. In 1993, it portrayed dinosaurs more accurately than ever before, with better special effects than ever before. In 2015, we got low-quality CGI dinosaurs with no feathers. After filling the gaps in dinosaur DNA with frog DNA, which led to disaster, the scientists should have filled the gaps in dinosaur DNA with bird DNA. Dinosaurs were birds, not frogs. A lot of people think feathered dinosaurs couldn't be scary, probably because drawings of feathered dinosaurs tend to be colorful and "cute." What about a raptor covered in dark feathers like a crow, killing people? That's scary in my book.

Jurassic World and The Force Awakens are similar

They're just dumb popcorn flicks only a step above Micheal Bay drivel. I wouldn't expect much. The magic and wonder and good writing of the original has been long gone.

Hey we made a dinosaur that's smarter than people and is also bulletproof, oh and it can hide itself from thermal imaging somehow.

Even Henry Wu with all of his hubris would say "fuck no" to that.

The first Jurassic Park cgi looked amazing because they mixed practical effects with 3D effects. Close up shots were animatronics and far distance shots were cgi. Jurassic World goes in and makes everything cgi, even put a cgi over the animatronics to look even more fake.
