If you can get passed some dodgy game design and low resolution then yes Story and atmosphere in 1 is great. Some well written options and player choice. 2 is horribly dated in terms of bad comedy, inconsistent tone and a huge drop in story quality. I think modern gamers probably couldn't go back to that kind of turn based isometic game. I haven't played either one, but I heard that the Wasteland series is a spiritual successor of them. and from that, I've only played Wasteland 3, which is a great game, IMO. edit: nevermind, the original Fallouts are supposed to be spiritual successors of the original Wasteland. --- https://imgur.com/mApEnf3 ... I played Fallout 3 about two years after its release, back when I was in high school. Then in college I saw Fallout 1&2 were on a Steam sale. i think they are more fun to replay than the 3,nv,4, and 76 tbh. both are much shorter games so replaying with different builds doesn't burn me out. they can also be played with just one hand if you just use a mouse without any hotkeys. I can drink and eat while playing. very nice games. remind me of how I play Runescape. also, you can play as an extremely dumb character in 1 and 2. very funny stuff. I laughed a lot playing fallout 2 with one intelligence. of course it prevents you from doing like all of the side quests because non-main story NPCs won't interact with you much but it does make for a short, fun, and more challenging experience. never played tactics so idk what that like --- I'm a Taurus I like collecting headphones and iems. My fave game of all time is DMC 3 SE on PC w/ style switch mod. IMO it the best button masher on earth ... Copied to Clipboard!
