I feel like there's a lack of nuance by anti vax/anti mandate folks. He's right in that you shouldn't be forced to take something you don't want if it only impacts you. Part of living in society means that we make concessions for the good of all of us, especially in a pandemic

Sure, but youd have to show that the person has in fact affected others. Not everyone who is unvaxxed has infected someone else, but you can be vaxxed and still die from the infection and even spread it. Besides, this should be a body autonomy issue. And if not, then businesses should decide for themselves. The government would be overstepping, especially if the unvaxxed are tax payers.

If anything, the comment is dumb because it didn't really need to be said. Nobody is being forced, and everyone knows that people can choose not to take it.

long as we agree that businesses, employers, events, schools and countries that don't want to let plague bearers in are allowed to make their choice too

Trucker Protest in Canada is about a vaccine mandate, i.e. the government trying to force the industry to get the vaccine. This is why people all over the US have been vocal about being against it from before any state could issue a mandate, to discourage state governments from trying.

Don't get the vaccine. Don't have your kids get the vaccine.

Don't also complain about the places taking away "your freedom" because they require you to be vaccinated to do business with them.

It is antivax. Also it isnt a right when it starts affecting other people. You are not allowed to do a lot of things in society when it hurts other people.
