the most common movies i remember being shown in school were march of the penguins, remember the titans and october sky. i saw the latter two so many times i started hating them

I only saw half of it twenty years ago, but I remember it being entertaining. It's a modern adaptation, but they use the original dialogue. So "fair Verona" is Verona Beach. The swords and daggers are Sword, Dagger, and Rapier model guns. And Romeo takes ecstasy in one scene.

The teacher always says that, and its a self fulfilling prophecy. There is literally one second of boobies and its easy to miss. If the teacher says nothing the kids say nothing.

My school had us organize in the auditorium after lunch, and they only had It's a Wonderful Life and The Nightmare before Christmas. Good movies at least.

I had an English teacher who was obsessed with Disney movies in high school, and if everyone turned their paper in before the due date wed watch one.

My school never played us movies. I'm jealous.

I think the one exception was in psychology we watched a movie called Cat's Eye (I think?) Starring James Woods about a guy trying to quit smoking so he pays these people to remove his fingers and torture his wife if he smokes.

The whole film is about James Woods going crazy because he really wants to smoke.

It was odd.

my school was pretty shit. craziest example i can think of was my electronics teacher. guy was in his 60s and obviously hated teaching little shits, he half ass'd the whole course and spent most of the year shit talking the more annoying students and playing movies that would normally never be allowed. lots of nude scenes.

best part, the "fight" that probably got him fired. i dont remember exactly what started it, the class was a double course and i spent most of my time reading, but at some point a verbal spat turned into a golf-ball throwing match. the classroom was pretty big so the student and the teacher were on either side of the room and chucking balls at each other, went on for about 5 minutes until one of them pinged a ball off a sprinkler head...

when sprinklers go off it sets them all off, the tech lab area was completely flooded out.
