Im a full time college student with no job. I did online surveys on the side to make extra cash. I got my W-2 in the mail today saying that I made $967 dollars. Problem is, I already filed my taxes. My refund ($1,243) and is arriving on Feb 18.

Do I need to do an amendment after I get my refund?

I think if you make a small mistake they usually just fix it for you... But I'm not super knowledgeable about this stuff

Good luck. Worst case scenario is probably only a few months in prison, so you should be fine.

As little as you make, you won't owe anything on that. It shouldn't affect much.

A few years back I forgot to click on one thing, had to do the amendment thing and it was like October or November when I wound up getting my refund. Amount stayed the same, but not sure if it will in your situation.

How much do you make in a year? Less than $10k or $12k you don't need to pay taxes on income.

This doesn't make sense. If you had no jobs in 2021 and just doing surveys, you don't get a W-2.

And if you have no job, you don't get any refunds. That amount better be the college credit, or you've done something wrong

Did they take tax out of your surveys? If so, you got money waiting, if not, nothing changes

Withholdings are amounts voluntarily taken out of your paychecks to minimize how much tax you owe at the end of the year. When you fill out payroll info upon being hired you would choose how much to withhold.

Credits are programs or tax law provisions that reduce your tax liability, or even reimburse you cash. If you are a student, there are several credits you likely receive.

https://www.irs.gov/individuals/dont-lose-your-refund-by-not-filing

Many people may lose out on a tax refund simply because they did not file a federal income tax return.

Many taxpayers may not file because they didnt earn enough money to be required to file. However, taxpayers who had federal taxes withheld by their employer may be eligible for a refund of those taxes. Also, even if you arent required to file, you may qualify for benefits like the Earned Income Tax Credit.

Could that be it?

2019/2020 don't affect 2021 taxes unless you carried over a loss or refund.

You can't just assume everything is cool with that amount. You have to know what exactly you're getting it for. Did you apply for the tuition credit?

The W-2 for whatever little you worked an actual job in 2021 will have the amount that was withheld. The surveys will not send a W-2, so that part still doesn't make sense, but even then, that should have the withheld amount as well. Surverys are usually 1099 and are subject to self-employment tax.
