I've been seeing this argument for a while now.

I personally think this kinda expectation is a bit extreme and breaks heavy away from its basic traditional Pokemon game style. They should take baby steps to get to that 24 hour NPCs and Pokemons and living environment that everyone so desperately wants.

I never played BotW but that's usually the go-to comparison people make to argue that Pokemon should be now.

It should be because that's basically what LA is, the graphics are just shit.

It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha."

Arguments against turn based combat serve to remind me the lack of imagination/creativity of most gamers. I just enjoy playing the more relaxed nature of turn based while pretending it is happening in real time. Basically exactly how the show does it. Except the show does have some improvements upon a base turn based system basically like how FFX does it. Which I mentioned in another topic would be the ultimate formula for a new mainline pokemon game.

Pokemon has been never known for their graphics either but some people are making it a huge huge deal under the guise of "lazy design" or "they can afford to make better graphics". I dunno, man, doing too much for Pokemon will ruin it for me.

Nintendo has never been known for graphics, but one big thing in their main games (Mario, LoZ, etc) is a clean look. Pretty much every Nintendo game you put in no matter how primitive it still is graphically is pretty clean looking. The exception to this is the pokemon series which looks just plain terrible. Even just small improvements like cleaning up the pixels would make a massive difference.

Since the game is out now can we really say the graphics are as bad as people were saying?
