that Leland was the one who murdered Laura Palmer.

That was excellent. That season and a half was damn good.

Now that the show has moved away from that story I've kinda lost interest and struggle to get through episodes.

Is season 3 better? Could I just skip to that? Or should I just give up on the show entirely?

Season three is fucking devastating but you definitely need to finish the Windom Earle arc then watch Fire Walk With Me, then you can start the return; but pace yourself, it is absolutely NOT a binge watch.

Everyone hates the Wyndham Earl arc. Season 3 is much better.

I really need to watch Fire Walk With Me, but I can't find it anywhere.

I tried watching S3 directly after S2, and while I know it's not an easy watch, I was lost without the Fire Walk with Me context.

Also, (S3 spoilers) i only got a few episodes in, but it really, really, really annoyed me how there was only like a total of 5 minutes of screen time for the actual town of Twin Peaks in 5 episodes.

S3 is better, but you do unfortunately need the rest of S2 to...well, not understand it. But you know.

S2 had some good moments.

You've probably heard this already - David Lynch didn't want to reveal the killer, but the execs made it so to bump up ratings. Lynch quit for the later part of season 2 and it's common for that stretch to be fans least favorite. I still really enjoyed that later half because I was so invested in the town and characters.

Watching Fire Walk With Me after finishing season 2 was great. It brought back the feeling that started to wain during that second season.

S3 is fan-bloody-tastic.

I would thrown in that the books that came out when season 3 was being released are very good. They add quite a bit of detail that isn't really necessary, but is fun if you are a fan of the show. They were written by Mark Frost, the co-creator of the show.

The end of season 2 is great. But the stretch between where you are now and the end is pretty lackluster. But you kinda need to watch it all for the end to make sense.

Season 3 is one of the best things to ever air on TV. But you need to finish season 2 for season 3 to make sense. It's worth it, in my opinion.

If people do this, they'll be very confused about David Duchovny's appearance in S3. Even the bad episodes in S2 are still part of the Twin Peaks mythos.

Absolutely watch FWWM before S3. There are key plot points in S3 that you will not understand without it.
