Of all things, the Tesla Model S, designed as a premium vehicle and accordingly expensive, does not do well in the main inspection. Only two Dacias have a higher defect rate. Other electric vehicles fared much better with the TV inspectors. (teep's note: TV is the body that carries out car inspections) [...] According to this, the two-seater Smart, with a defect rate of 3.5%, performs better than the overall average of all 2 to 3-year-old passenger cars. The most recent average was 4.7, a value that the BMW i3 meets exactly. The Renault Zoe follows at a considerable distance, with 5.7 percent of its first main inspection failures being due to significant defects. In the overall ranking of all car types, the French small car lands in the bottom third of its peers. The Tesla Model S e-limousine does even worse: One in ten fails the test at the first attempt. Only the low-cost cars Dacia Duster and Dacia Logan have an even higher defect rate (10.7 percent). https://www.n-tv.de/auto/E-Auto-beim-TUV-jeder-zehnte-Tesla-faellt-durch-article23090344.html; I couldn't be bothered to translate it myself so I ran it through DeepL and corrected it where necessary --- teep does not dream of logical witch ... I don't get what you mean by 'worse' After X years of owning a car, you have to have it inspected. 10% of Tesla Model S cars fail this inspection, and it's one of the highest rates of a make/model, beat out only buy two Dacia models --- teep does not dream of logical witch ... Copied to Clipboard!
