Every character is dumb as fuck. Even the smart characters. Even the characters you like, like Ruth. There isn't a single smart character.

Every single one of all of their problems is caused by not communicating what they're going to do. Literally all of them. Super predictable and lazy. Even when it doesn't make sense to not tell someone what you're going to do. They just do it just cuz they need a reason for shit to hit the fan.

Wendy is a God damn idiot. The writers blew their load with the Ben dying shit last season. Every interaction she has with her kids is so painfully bad. Eyes roll to the back of my head whenever the whole family is together. Wendy is basically what the wrong fans of Breaking Bad thought Skylar should have been, and its proof that they were dumb and wrong cuz Skylar is 10000x the character Wendy is.

Marty either lost all the character development he had from the previous seasons or Bateman is straight up just phoning it in. I can't even tell anymore.

The cartel people were the least interesting villains in the entire show. Darlene was the most compelling until this season. Then they got the stereotypical "crazy Mexican cartel guy" to blast Darlene in the most unceremonious and undeserving (for her character in terms of the plot) way possible.

I hope Ruth kills everyone. Marty will probably not die cuz that will be too blatantly BB. Wendy will die a gruesome death. Jonah gonna be an incel basement dweller somewhere. Charlotte is going to get sent to a deserted island with no cellphone, a fate worse than death for her character.

I really can't express how much I hate Wendy as a character. Just an awfully written character all around at this point. Should have killed her instead of Helen last season.

I'm enjoying it but I agree with your take on the characters this season.

I feel like, this is one of those shows where just keeps happening to progress the plot. To the point where its just not realistic anymore. Like every time they get leave, something immediately happens

It pretty much is a revolving door of problems and solutions, often times it doesn't really feel satisfying. There's no breathing room, and the constant push and pull of varying stakes gets tiring. Like the interpersonal family shit right now is 50% of the story and I absolutely couldn't give a shit about it.

I can't say I didn't enjoy the season so far, I will be watching part 2 whenever that comes out, it's just incredibly disappointing. I don't think they'll be able to pull it off.

One of my favorite lines this season was when Marty is on the phone with Wendy and he's like "what? I'm in the middle of a big DRUG deal" when we has handing off the heroin to the pharmaceutical company lmao
