How can you really tell me what the best music is if you're not listening with the best quality? It's like if you're telling me about the best food but your mouth is full of lead. If you're not at least listening to lossless audio and acoustically treating your room I don't think it matters too much what ya think you know what I mean

Same with console gamers. If you're not getting the full performance of a game by playing on a PC with maxed specs, then you're not allowed to comment on whether the game is good or not.

Your taste in music is crap and here are ten vague hipsterisms explaining why.

But you're not hearing it in the best quality, unless you are hearing it live, being played by the best musicians alive, using the very best instruments in existence, in an acoustically perfect venue. So, your opinion is invalid, as well as mine, and 99.99999% of everyone alive.

You also have to have perfect hearing. Even the slightest fraction of high or low range hearing loss will completely invalidate your experience and opinions.

I prefer the hiss of a cassette tape blasted through a speaker with a torn cone

I never said you had to go all the way. I'm just saying you should at the very least acoustically treat your listening environment. why should i care what someone who listens on a Walmart laptop think? who knows the quality of the audio they're receiving?

I will say this, great speakers, high-quality music files and some weed let you hear parts of the song you never knew were there before.

It's amazing how subtle some of the details are when an artist creates music and you only really notice it under certain conditions and great speakers just help it become more distinct.

Not sure I'd call myself a full audiophile but I legitimately can't stand to listen to any of the 128 kbps mp3 files I had back in the day.
