If they break down inside, yes. If you can poop them out before anything happens to the batteries, you should be OK.
The disk/button type batteries are at higher risk of getting stuck in the small intestine so they need to be taken out more quickly. Also liquid can leak out of them.

Cylindrical batteries don't have alot of flat edges so they don't get stuck.

....What a silly case.
