Cousins funeral last week. Killed in a car accident. I saw the accident early morning when I was bringing my kid to school, they cops blocked everything off so I had to detour, but still I saw the cars. My husband and I brought home two miniature dachshund puppies on Saturday. That night when I took one out to potty a predatory bird (it was too dark to identify) dive-bombed her, they tumbled together, but fortunately it didn't get a hold on her. I screamed (panic plus trying to scare off the bird), grabbed my puppy, and ran back inside with her. Fortunately she was entirely unharmed but I was sobbing like a little bitch for half an hour. A couple of days after my cat, Ebony, died back in June 2012. She had been part of my life for a little more than 18 years. My brother had taken her corpse out to my parents' place in Lake City for burial and I had said my last goodbyes before he left.
