Wasnt great and was kinda pricey for what it was. The best part was realizing that my local Subway started carrying the creamy sriracha sauce again. Turns out its just not listed on the app as a sauce and I havent ordered Subway in person in months. The sauce was the best part by far.

Never cared for the meatball sub. When I worked there, I would occasionally eat one or two meatballs on their own, since we would throw out what was left at the end of the night. They're fine solo.

Subway is absolute trash tier fastfood with their 1 layer of deli meat sandwiches. A regular deli at a grocery store is way better value.

I like Togo's for a chain sandwich spot tho

I considered getting the no bread bowl instead of a sandwich to save on carbs. May do that next time.

Try it and see if you like meatballs better.

Yeah, there are a plethora of other sandwich places that are much better than Subway. Might try Penn Station one of these days.

I live in a small little southern town, theres a Jimmy Johns and a McAlisters about twenty minutes away in a larger town. But Id rather eat at other places if Im going that far out of the way.

About 45 minutes away theres a Firehouse Subs. Its pretty good but right next to a Chick-Fil-A so I always go with CFA.

Last few times I had Firehouse, it did not digest well. Not a fan of Jimmy John's or CFA, and have yet to try McAlister's. They're all around my city. Do you have any non-chain places in your area?

Theres some overpriced hipster joints but Im not much of a fan of them. Theres way better local pizza and hamburger and bbq places around. Firehouse also made me ill last I ate it now that I think about it.

There's a pizza place local to me called Papa Vito's. So far, they are my favorite spot for pizza. The pizza sauce is on the sweeter side, but it's mellow enough so that you can taste all of the toppings and cheese.

Are they at $7 or more? Ground beef has been increasing in price.

I agree with this. I also wish there were more build your own sub shops. Firehouse subs/JJ's is fine, but I really just want more customizable places.

My wife works for Penn Station so there's a constant supply of free passes. The bread is good, but most things are super oily. I recommend a chicken or steak philly if you go. The fries are fresh cut, super potato-y tasting things. They're pretty good. Excellent cookies. Lemonade is also good there.

Also, order online. In person, the process is odd. You'll like order an Italian sub and you can't just say with everything because "everything" includes like pizza sauce and brown mustard and other weird shit. You either need to say each individual thing, or I just say "whatever normally goes on one" and the employee will rattle off a pretty standard set of things to double check.

Thanks for the information. Probably going the route of an online order, then pick-up. It will help minimize the time I'm in the store. Steak philly sounds amazing.

$6.29. Cheapest footlong on the menu. Was $5 for years though. But everything is going up so what can you do.
