I looked forward to counting the pepperonis. So I stood there and a real hillbilly looking old lady took my order. I said I'd like a pepperoni hot n ready pizza. Now the Ceasers by my work always has tons of them ready right then and there so I always figured it was just a given that they always have them. She told me they sold out. So I was like, huh, okay. Well that's not a big deal. These pizzas don't take long to cook, they're probably cooking up the next batch right now, probably just a couple minutes. So I ask how long it would be for one to come out, she looked confused and shouted to the cook in the back. I couldn't hear what he said, but he said some stuff, and then the lady came back and mumbled something and wouldn't give a straight answer. I was like, uh, so about how long will it take? And she was like, "I've been in the back breading dough, so I don't know what's going on here". And then I just kinda stood there for a while, thinking. I literally said the word "uh" out loud a few times. And she just stood there. I asked "so should I wait or...?" and she exchanged some words with the cook again, and then just came back completely silent. It was extremely awkward. So I just said, "okay, uh, bye." And I left. I went to a cajun sub place next door, and I ate the most delicious steak BBQ sandwich I've ever had in my life for lunch.
