Great game

I recently beat it and I loved it. Sure it had its fair share of flaws, but my god was I blown away by how great the voice acting was and the cast of characters. It's what Vesperia's disappointing cast should have been (since Vesperia was great gameplay wise, being the culmination of perfecting the team symphonia battle system style)

Still weird to me that it's apparently a prequel to the previous game Zestiria, which is nothing more than a hindrance. But otherwise it's amazing just how great the characters are, from Magilou to Velvet to Eizen to Rokuro, not to mention Phi and even Eleanor.

I don't think any subsequent Tales game will be able to top it if they don't do a drastic, breath of the wild level overhaul of the series.

I adore Berseria
I remember having it as my "buffer game" that I played after Breath of the Wild before Persona 5 came out.
I ended up loving it way more than I did Persona.
It's my second favorite game of the gen right behind BOTW

It was my first Tales game, and I loved it.

Probably my favorite of the 6 Tales games Ive played.

Crazy I feel like that because the maps arent all that great. Graphics are pretty meh. Musicwas there music? Didnt leave an impression. But the castholy cow. Even the little squirt is awesomeand thats pretty rare by itself.

If there was a topic about games carried by a cast and writing team, this would be a very strong candidateother than the combat, thats pretty much what makes this game. Tales combat is usually the biggest drawI know thats true for myself because I cannot stand the Graces cast but still liked the game.

Still sitting on my PS4, I need to stop buying games.

I should really play this one of these days. It's just sitting on my Steam account untouched.

Better than Arise for the most part, especially the story. Arise's story fucking sucks.

Vesperia has a great, very memorable cast. What are you on about? Rokurou fucking sucks in comparison. His motivation is pretty low, and his reason for being with the party and contribution is almost nonexistent. He is literally "attack dog" the party member, which is ironic because Vesperia has a literal attack dog party member in Repede, yet Rokurou has the intellect of a human, yet contributes just as much.

I own Berseria, Zestiria and Vesperia. Have yet to play any of them

I liked Berseria's story, but hated the way the combat system was. Not being able to attack without souls was an annoying mechanic.

That's one of the main things I hate about it too.

Best MC for a Tales game.

It was a'ight. I liked the characters, but eventually got tired of the story.

I heard good stuff about Berseria, never got around to playing it though because I don't have the free time anymore to invest in a JRPG.

Zestiria isn't that bad. It's one of the most popular in the series in Japan, especially its cast. They are consistently voted as the best characters in the entire franchise, and I kinda agree. Sorey is one of my favorite main characters ever. He's such a good Boi
