Ive embraced both, and both are great.

But Danganronpa is better.

I feel like the writing is better after 1, but that's understandable. The rest of the games are mostly the same so it probably won't change your mind.

I kinda wanna play Danganranpa now after I have been watching the game grumps play it. But they are like $20 each so meh.

I cant imagine that the game would be very fun to play after watching a playthrough. It isnt like watching someone else play an action game, a fighting game, or a platformer and being intrigued by the gameplay - with Danganronpa, your actions would be the exact same, and the story would be spoiled already.

Im just curious - cost aside, what intrigues you about playing the game after seeing a playthrough of it?

On Switch? I know the games constantly go on sale on Steam and PSN.

Well tbh they are on chapter 2 of the 2nd game and I wanted to keep going ahead. Plus because they read all the dialogue out loud it takes a long time. So to cut back on some length they skip all the free time. Plus there is the dating sim style version of the game you can play after you beat them. So I mostly wanted to get more interactions with my favorite characters.

This game just hit game pass today, one of them did.

My kid is obsessed with Daganronpa now. Her birthday is coming up and I got like 200 bucks worth of merch and manga along with the Decadence LE for switch.

The only one I really played was ultra despair girls. It was ok for a puzzle shooter game

Play all of Danganronpa, Ace Attorney, and Zero Escape tbh. And The House in Fata Morgana too, for that matter.

I've played 2/3 of Zero Escape. Need to get around to the others

See this is why I don't trust internet opinions anymore. For years I heard the game grumps suck and weren't funny anymore. But when I gave them a chance it turned out I laugh during every video, usually way harder than I do at almost anything else. Everyone just likes different stuff so it doesn't really matter what other people think. Tbh I love their playthrough. Even if they are dumbasses who say stuff I don't always agree with I don't have to take it personally.

Yeah, I'm the same. It's all personal taste of course but there's a reason I've been subscribed since their inception and have watched every non-stream video. Their DR2 playthrough is hilarious to me even though they do stuff I don't like.

About 2 years ago, I had 428 recommended to me, since I like Ace Attorney games, Danganronpa, and Zero Escape. I just couldnt get into it. I wanna try it again and see if I take to it any differently a second time around.

PC, although they're not available Steam. It's quite easy to acquire a copy if you know where to look, however. It's also highly recommended you use fanmade patches for each of them to enhance the user experience; Never 7 has Eternal Edition (runs on the LOVE engine, which you have to install separately), Ever 17 has the Himmel Patch, and Remember 11 has the Gestalt Patch.

I had Achi chuck some boxes at the man with the cane and then immediately realized it was the missing boxes of Burning Hammer and felt bad, lol. Yanagishita is a real dumbass but it sure does make me sad, seeing all his misfortune. I hope he gets a win in the end.

He got famous by participating in a reality show where he was stripped of absolutely everything (clothes included) and had to make enough money to afford a plane ticket (he was promised an all-expenses-paid vacation) solely from scratch cards in magazines. Then, when he got to his hotel room after getting the plane ticket, they made him do it all again to get a plane ticket for the return trip.
