Honestly only really looking forward to seeing Kingo and Thena in future movies.

But on the other hand I like how they felt really self contained, so it's gonna feel weird seeing them team up with the Avengers or whoever eventually.

The MCU needs more self contained stories without cameos and such.

Just watched this movie tonight. It was... weird.

Like, the ideas were awesome, but the framework of the movie wasn't particularly enjoyable.

Anyway, Gilgamesh.

I guess Im in the minority but I didnt care much for Kingo. He and Druig were the most easily cuttable ones.

is one of them played by Kumail Nanjiani? I thought I saw him in the trailer. I haven't seen it but I would blindly vote for that one just because Kumail is fucking awesome in everything he does.

If Kingo were cut then the movie would have actually no humor, and I'd probably be agreeing with the people saying the movie is super boring.

Ajak was mommy.

I barely even remember that terrible movie.

I was so shocked when I heard Kingo with a lisp and a higher pitched voice, I was under the impression he'd be a deep baritone like so many bollywood actors.

Honestly surprised Ajak's in 3rd. We knew her entirely posthumously.

I liked them all...except for Druig and Sprite. Those 2 fucking suck.

Favorites are probably Ikaris, Kingo, and Gilgamesh.

I voted Ikaris simply because he's a freaking force on this Marvel mobile game I've been playing.

I noticed early on that Ikaris did seem a little villainous compared to the other Eternals. Turns out that was correct

Apparently a lot of them are very different from the comics, where there Ikaris was super loyal or something.

So I can see why comic fans are upset with the movie in regards to changing the characters.

The characters are insanely different in the movie.
Even their roles within the team is different.
A good example is that Ajak was NEVER the leader, and actually grew resentful because every time a leader was chosen they were passed over by the rest.
The one who was leader most often was Zuras.

I see. Yeah, I dunno why they went out of their way to change them so much. They're not even really those characters at that point.

They were all very well done, IMO. The recasting of Gemma Chan within the MCU was an interesting move. Gilgamesh reminded me heaviy of Wong from Dr Strange. Ikarus was obviously a nod towards Superman. Phastos seemed extremely similar to the Kang character introduced in Loki. Angelina Jolie plays Angelina Jolie maybe harder than ever. Druig has a bit of a Harry Potter vibe going for him. Sprite is clearly a nod to Peter Pan. Kingo's actor I had recently enjoyed quite a lot in an episode of The Twilight Zone and Makkari also seemed somehow familiar. Ajak was a great role for Hayek. Gods of earth indeed!

Arishem is going to judge Earth. Not the Eternals themselves. Presumably he intends on taking their memories and resetting them as per usual, and we can expect him to succeed before the other Eternals show up to take the memories back & reunite them with their rightful hosts

I still dont get how ajak has any votes. She had no real personality and only existed to move the plot forwards....she was also fully clothed so we couldn't see her assets, so she shouldn't be getting sexy votes either

Why did they give Kingo fingerbanging powers? He is a badass martial artist in the comic.

Liked em all. Kingo was much needed comic relief for a mostly humorless movie. Then was hot af. Gil was cool but died early so hard to gaf.

Kingo, easily. I've always liked Kumail Nanjiani and he didn't disappoint. Phastos probably second. Makkari and Gilgamesh would've been in the running if they'd had more screentime and the latter hadn't been killed off.
