Apparently, Starbucks was really big before that even, but for some reason, I never heard of it.

The first time I ever heard of it was in an article about how Starbucks had become the largest restaurant chain in America lol.

I remember seeing the logo as far back as 99-02 or so (born in 95 so memorys hazy) but I know there was a sizable time gap between when I first saw the logo & when the name Starbucks entered my lexicon

I don't think I heard of Starbucks until the late 2000s

I remember hearing about it in the 90s but it didnt really have the weird stigma attached to it until like post-9/11 culture for some reason, it felt like it suddenly became a much bigger deal

I first heard about Starbucks in the early 2000s from a song about throwing bricks thru their windows during the 1999 WTO protests in Seattle.

Probly late 90s or early 2000s

There was an awesome one off coffee shop here called the hogs brew or something that got bought and became a Starbucks.

Also it was called the hogs brew cause it was owned by two retired cops who obviously has a sense of humor.

It was something I probably saw around from time to time but didn't register as anything beyond something that existed.

personally I never saw the appeal of the place, when I can just go to Dunkin Donuts or my local mom and pop deli to get the same stuff.
