look, just because you pay for a game doesn't mean you have the right to play it whenever you want! hello!!!

why should you have expectations for Square Enix? how were they supposed to know how many copies of a game they sold! that shit is like, hard! you gotta call accounting or something i dunno.

plus SE is a small indie company. they dont have the time or resources for that kind of stuff. they made their first game only 38 years ago okay? they're still rookies in the gaming biz.

point is, shut up and pay your sub and then go wait 9 hours to get into the server like everyone else, except me who idles in the game over night via script to jump every 10 minutes.

Didn't they stop selling new copies of their game due to their server acquisition issues? I was led to believe this is another effect of pandemic shortages.

A combination of that and the huge surge in popularity far exceeding anything they could have anticipated with the launch of Endwalker.

The fun thing about this is the game population went up roughly 250% from June 2015-June 2017 and SE never once upgraded their infrastructure after boasting about record breaking numbers and increasing server queues. SHB was an even bigger explosion in population and still nothing. The semiconductor shortage is just a convenient excuse for them not upgrading earlier.

It's also an effect of poor planning on their part

Yeah, they are toxic in the good way that doesn't make playing the game unfun.

only toxic players i've seen are people on this board who turn molehills into mountains. everyone in-game is pleasant enough.

but i'm also not some elite gamer that does extreme trials or whatever, so i barely interact with other players in general.

Report them to gm? Rules exsist for a reason

In the 7 years I've been playing this game, I've really encountered griefing a few times and every time the GMs acted pretty swiftly.

The amount of people who rage at raids is on par with league of legends. I was stunned to see the amount of toxicity during the few raids I seen
