On the one hand my ex's background and past history shows she wasnt a good person and what I was seeing was only the tip of the iceberg. On the other hand I feel your first relationship is important to a person and something you remember fondly even if it ended badly. My Ex Girlfriend broke up with me after 2 months because she was wanted then by the police for selling drugs. She had like 4 different Facebook accounts because assumedly she kept forgetting her passwords.
