With a proper vision, I could see a Fallout TV series having potential

but without top tier writing, it'll probably be meh at best

I don't see this show working with those showrunners. Not after Westworld plummeted hard in season 2.

Will it have micro transactions?

I expect this to have snail like pacing and get unceremoniously cancelled after the first series

What's going to happen and what's going to be the biggest issue is that it's going to be a post-apocalyptic show with none of the humor.

Need Ron Pearlman to narrate the opening. And I expect the show's subplots to be more interesting than the main quest story.

Are they scared to use some new IP?

The plot twist is the guy who died halfway through the series was an essential character and after they shot him he just got back up and continued his evil scheme like nothing had happened.

I also hope there's a scene where someone accidentally picks up a cup and the whole room turns hostile on him.

If it was about New Vegas, I'd be more excited.

Eh.

I'm kinda over getting excited for anything like this.

It's not that it's not cool. It's just that I know they won't do anything good or groundbreaking.

The very first thing we will hear after the opening narration will be Butcher Pete.

Yeah, the only place they were ever heroes was 3. And then they turned that BOS into Power Armor Nazis.

I have a bad feeling that they're going to pull inspiration largely from Fallout 3, considering that some sorely misguided gaming publications still to this day rank it as the best in the series.

The silver lining here is that the only thing about Fallout 3 that still holds up are a select handful of its sidequests; While playing I always thought they could make a half-decent Spaghetti Western-esque TV adaptation focusing on a Lone Wanderer-type episodically traveling from one quirky beleaguered settlement to the next, with little to no overarching plot to tie it together (and Mandalorian proved there's still a market for that style of show).

They could make it like the Mandalorian, have the Vault Dweller leave for the water chip and have each episode a side quest from 1.

I might just be cynical, but I don't have my hopes up. I feel like they'll go too far with it and either make it too serious or too goofy and I have a feeling it will be more like the latter.

I totally expect this. They'll just be like a lot of fans and don't get that the BOS are mostly jerks and just raiders with power armor.

Can't wait to get the worst of both worlds from Fallouts 3 and 4 where we get a heroic Brotherhood of Steel and shitty things like the kid ghoul who survived being in stuck a fridge for over 200 years without any food or water and still managed to be sane.

They should steal the story from Fallout 1.

Since most fallout fans started with 3. Its gonna suck though because i know im gonna see some shitty version of VATS on my screen.
