The license plate on Terry's car, in the Robby/Tory scene, had a very conspicuous 2019 date.

So I'm gonna call it now. It's probably been guessed by a bunch of people already but still I'm gonna do it.

Final scene of the series is a showdown between Johnny and Daniel just to settle who's better, and it ends before we see a winner. Just like Rocky 3.

Just finished the show. Really like what they did with Terry Silver.

I'm kinda surprised that Johnny never heard about Terry Silver before this season, but tbf, I haven't seen any of the Karate Kids in a long time.

It does make sense. Silver and Kreese supposedly founded Cobra Kai in the early-mid 70s, Johnny would have gotten in around 1978-80 at earliest. By then, Terry's already dumping toxic waste in Ecuador.

Finished the 4th season last night, I thought it was pretty great honestly.

Regarding Hilary Swank, I think theres a chance.

With her character (Julie), she does have connections to Miyagi. It could be some 1-2 episode story about a part of Miyagis life that Daniel had no idea about. Depending on how deep of a dive they wanna take into The Next Karate Kid, they could even involve the Buddhist monastery into the story (and Cobra Kai has shown they have no qualms with taking deep dives into minor plot points from the past).

And while Swank is a fairly big name, she isnt anywhere near her level of fame from around 15 years ago. Also, shes nowhere near as big a name as Carrie Underwood, who made a really unexpected cameo. I would think if they can get Underwood, getting Swank isnt an impossibly.

I meant during the events of the Karate Kid movies, or sometime afterwards.

like, Terry Silver apparently ended up being this terrible force in Daniel's life, and had some presence in the community, but Johnny was totally ignorant of him.

Terry was pretty much operating in the shadows for just about all of Karate Kid 3. Cobra Kai was dead, and Kreese had disappeared from the community. Terry just sorta took Daniel under his wing to teach him a few new tricks to stand up to Mike Barnes and his goons, acting as a double agent.

Nobody really even saw Terry until the tournament at the end. Johnny seemingly wasnt there, and if someone had told him about it, the story probably would have been LaRusso won the tournament again. Kreese was there with some new kid and some guy - I dont know who they were.

Johnny would be anti-mask because masks are for pussies. That is until he realizes that everyone else walking around in one looks like a badass ninja. Then he goes through a phase where he just walks around everywhere dressed as a ninja.

Hed probably also catch Covid fairly early on, and have someone beat the crap out of him in order to beat the disease out of him.

Fairly certain in Season 1, when Johnny was making the case for Cobra Kai to be allowed to compete the first time, that he was asked about Terry Silver then.

yea, I couldn't remember if he was mentioned or not, but Johnny acted like he never heard of him before this season, so idk.

Johnny wanted Cobra Kai back, and probably only heard of Terry Silver and may or may not have known Barnes.
The show is up on its own canon, to the point of bringing in the shrine from the cartoon.

i really liked that asian girl in Eagle Fang. I forget her name but, she has a lot of potential. Gets beat and then gloats saying she came this far in 6 weeks. next year she's gunna be shit stomping eveyrone. I like how Jonny has taken a liking to her.

Terry Silver. What can I say. What the fuck can anyone say? Dude put in work.

Yeah there was an interview about it where Ralph said that Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan aren't in the same universe, so they are out while Hilary Swank isn't out of the question. The problem, like with Elizabeth Shue, is that they don't know if she will say yes or no and has to make a script depending on the response from the actors/actresses. Unlike most of the Karate Kid cast, Hilary Swank is doing much "better" than most of them. So she might be more expensive to have as well.

Considering swank was a student of miyagi do. Her vs daniel san to determine the real true pupil.

No one probably thought "Cobra Kai" would last this long r continue to be so good, it hits all the marks of the right way to continue a franchise, and I think Mike Barnes will be the next person to return to the series.

I also doubt Hilary Swank will join the show as she is to expensive for them and she has no stake in this fight at all since she never dealt with Cobra Kai at all.

Im only 3 episodes in and Im really mad that Terry Silver looks like hes about to come back after he acknowledged how Kreese is part of the cause of his trauma and how out of his mind he was in KK3.

The guest characters from the second movie that took place in Japan also shouldn't have beef, they still showed up though.

He quit Cobra Kai after Kreese tried to kill him in the very beginning of the second movie. There's no way he would've met Terry Silver who showed up in the third movie

On episode 4 and at this point I would like Tory to beat the crap out of Sam tbh

I have to say this though, this show plays on way too hard on trying to make everyone fall in the gray area of being good and bad. Everyone is good inside but they're just misunderstood or they don't know how to express them properly or emotions control situations too much. Robby said it the best to Danny:

Other kids were already trying to do the right thing while Robby and Tory were still being dicks. If they hadnt shoved Miguel to the sidelines this season he wouldve been the clear hero of this series.
