The first half had some actual uniqueness and I loved that it called out the series on so much while being the series. Even the idea that this was all in his head, while not the most unique premise, the movie did a good job of selling it. Idk why they didn't just keep with the meta theming going on and make that into the premise of the movie.

Instead they had to do a bunch of dumb actual Matrix lore stuff that nobody really cared for beyond the first movie. Not only did they make their own dumb lore but they tried to tie it to the boring lore. And the plot was weird, so Neo and Trinity together is not good, but just keeping them barely together is the best source of battery? Meh

It was so bad I stopped watching after about 30 minutes

The guy playing Agent Smith called Neo "Tom" and really didn't seem like Agent Smith at all. He was the weakest part of the movie.

Another weak part of the movie was people turning into zombies instead of agents. How did that make the movie better? It didn't.

So did Neo have his mojo back by the end? Wasnt a fan of this pair stuff either since it completely undermined the whole point of the one but whatever.

Also even the real world conflicts were dumb. So some machines are evil and some are good? Why is Jada so angry at everyone the whole time even though peace was achieved? Why are there still even Sentinels?

So so so dumb

Obviously it's a fictional movie so not every plot hole is going to matter, but when the movie sucks, it makes those holes jump out all the worse
