Basically, you're forced to play 'fair'. Relatively speaking. Meanwhile the AI can Quick Claw Sheer Cold x3 and then call you shit for losing. Having a few pieces that might actually be difficult and lean into how the mechanics work does not translate to the overall series. Which is to say it is mind numbingly easy a majority of the time. Most of the trainers' teams are pretty bad so it's just tiring. And Tyranitar's Sand Stream animation probably made the whole thing a few hours longer than it had to be. Pokemon Stadium 2's Round 2 in general is cruel to you. Less so if you can transfer GBC pokes instead of using the shitty rentals. I struggled most with the Little Cup. I did all gold symbol Emerald's Battle Frontier after over a decade of on and off attempts.
