I'm rather picky.

I really only usually ask for things to be left off.

Like at BK I'll ask for like a cheeseburger plain, with mustard.

Or at Taco Bell I'll ask for any tacos to be without lettuce or tomato.

Is sour cream common enough to have to ask?

i've gotten less and less so as i've gotten older. only thing i refuse on a burger now is ketchup.

Fast food straight up...it is what it is.
I might make tiny altercations at a deli, say sub-Provalone for America 'cheese' and add tomato.
But never anything drastic. And if it say, a lunch or dinner rush, then no, not at all.

I can eat almost anything, besides large amounts of dairy, gives me a stomachache if I have too much.

Only time I do a custom order is if its part of the places gimmick like In-n-Out

Define picky. I don't feel like asking McDonald's to make a quarter ponder like a big Mac is some herculean task. Hell I've even had to tell them how to do it: no mustard, no ketchup, add Mac sauce and lettuce. Could not be easier and literally the same amount of steps/work as it is to make it normal.

If that's too much to handle maybe fast food/customer service isnt the career path for that person.

I pick a number combo I want, tell them the drink, and get the meal as it comes.

i'm so picky that i can't trust special orders. too much risk of the employee getting it wrong and the food going to waste. i'll find something as is (or with a minimal and common change) or i'll go somewhere else.

No tomatoes usually. And I like to add onions at taco bell cuz its free

If I can be bothered, I usually just say "Pickles, no tomato", and that's it. I'm not high maintenance.

If I felt picky I wouldn't be getting fast food, lol.

Most I'll do is ask to remove/add a sauce or something, but even that's pretty rare. I usually just get the "standard" burger, chicken sammy, or whatever the seasonal item is.

I only ever special order like 3 things:

Only mayo on my spicy chicken burgers from Wendys (so no vegetables)
Extra mac sauce on my Big Macs
Onion Rings on the side instead of Fries at A&W as I usually put onion rings on my burger, and don't care for their fries.

Not at all. My order is done in 5-10 seconds tops.

If I'm getting a burger I always ask for no mayo, cause I can't stand mayo on burgers. Other than that I don't ask for changes.
