Were in St Clair Shores, Michigan. Yesterday my oldest came out of her room to tell us that one of her friends saw a 8th grader say he was gonna shot up the school. Of course I had a million questions but thankfully not a few minutes later we got a call from the school sawing theyre aware of the situation as are the police.

Either way, she didnt wanna go to school today and same with all of her friends. Now Im just done reading an email from the high school about a false bomb threat. Virtual learning doesnt sound so bad now, fuck.

I went to middle school in Port Huron in the mid naughts and had 3 or 4 bomb threats. I was always happy to get out of class more than anything.

Yeah, I went to high school in Grosse Pointe Woods and we had exactly 1 gun threat in 4 years 01-04.

It's happening all over the state. They're getting the FBI in to track down every single threat, credible or not. They are going to prosecute as many of these people as possible, whether they are joking or serious. It sounds like their parents might be charged as well.

they closed pretty much all the schools near oxford. lots of schools had threats and supposedly this was supposed to be hit week, where there's a shooting each day at a different school

The school I subbed at yesterday canceled a pep rally because of a threat, and there were a lot of kids absent. But the police were aware, and nothing happened.

A coworker and my brother in law both have kids in Anchor Bay high school and they had threats too. I just feel so bad for the kids, my kids love going to school so this sucks for them after the year they had last year.
