pretty sure its some sort of phenomenon where everyone thinks their driving is hot shit and everyone else on the road is a dullard. i've observed this with some dangerous fucking drivers.

I drive like an old lady and have no shame about it.

It legit infuriates me when people don't use turn signals though. It's just an extension of how sloppy some people are in life.

Same. I've been pulled over for the " not within 100ft" thing just so they can sniff me out.

Meanwhile 40% of most drivers I see don't even bother but get away with it.

Oh and just because you do flip on your blinker does not mean you are entitled to squeeze into traffic moving at highway speeds.

It drives me crazy. Somebody will be in the wrong lane with traffic going 65, they'll throw their blinker on and attempt to squeeze between you and the vehicle ahead of you. They'll inch into your lane and play chicken knowing you will slow down and they can horn in.

Blinkers do not suddenly entitle you to a lane change.

I'm assuming by "California stop" you mean slowing down to a crawl, but not stopping completely at a stop sign? People do that every where, but for some reason think it's unique to where they live. People here all it a St. Louis stop.

I feel like rideshares are specifically tailored to horrible drivers because anyone who really cares about passenger safety and comfort is going to have too much anxiety about like, braking gently to ever transport around a bunch of strangers
