The first 2/3rds of the movie were enjoyable as a cheesy horror flick. Felt like a movie from the 70s/80s. Towards the end it felt rushed and low budget. Outside of some character changes (Leon specifically) the movie was better than your average video game movie. I wouldnt compare it to the Milla movies as the time is completely different. Its more horror than anything. My main complaint would be the amount of Easter eggs thrown in. I appreciate the director giving nods to the series but they felt overwhelming seeing as there was another every few minutes or so.
Many would disagree, but I really liked the way they portrayed Wesker. It made him more believable as a character, rather than just being a comic book villain. ... Copied to Clipboard!

I can see people who know nothing about Resident Evil getting some enjoyment out of it. If you played any of the games, its not a good adaptation at all. Youll definitely forget about the movie within a week.
