How do you define suffering?

The animal was raised in poor conditions in a shit environment and grew up in poor health.

The studies are in favor of humans having better health outcomes without meat.

Which makes sense because what special property does meat have nutritionally? Its just protein you can get elsewhere, saturated fat that your doc nags you to stop eating, a cancerous form of iron, and less vitamins than plants.

Ive been vegan for many years, powerlift, am deficient in nothing, and take no vitamin pills. I eat for pennies a day, because beans are cheaper than meat and pack much more nutrition. I get my b12 like the majority of Americans do: fortified foods like cereal.

As for morality, emblem boy astutely pointing out how these things go sometimes.

I have seen people get touchy over the use of they when they prefer "he/she" I do think it's silly but it's happened.

humanity just keeps finding new ways to get dumber.

Yes. This is at least honest. Remorseless anthropocentrism. I say keep it up, keep it up.

Most of you I'm sure are familiar with the influential people that formed the basis for modern western culture, but maybe some aren't.
If a higher evolved being than us existed, we'd be used just like cows and horses and there wouldn't be shit we could do. I believe in respecting animals while we use them, but it's still just the food chain and the ecosystem.

If eating animals is unethical, then so is riding them or owning them as pets, yet very few people are that ethically consistent.

Is this some type of weird "it's natural" so it's fine argument?

Bro, just be honest and say you like how meat tastes, more than the negative morality and harm it does to the animals, and that's why you eat it.

Food is food. Id love to live in a world where innocent animals didnt die for the sake of being food but thats just not the world we live in and its unrealistic.

Its a fantasy. Animals eat other animals and humans learning to hunt/fish plates such a massive role in our evolution.

I've seen a video of scientists growing cow meat from a few drops of blood so there is hope for the future PETA will still complain about it though lol.

I do like how it tastes. But I'm saying that if it is unethical to kill other animals for food, then it is also unethical for us to enslave them to do manual labor or own as pets. Slavery is just as bad as murder.

Manual labor I'll give you, but there is nothing wrong with pets. A good owner is giving their pet a better life than they would have otherwise. Nothing unethical about it. Bad owners have always been unethical.

I'm pro vegans and stuff, love vegan food, and I think militant meat eaters are way worse than militant vegans lol but I never understood the argument of "*insert animal* is smarter than your dog" or whatever. Intelligence seems like an arbitrary metric, and it's not the reason why we don't eat cats or dogs.
