No idea how I've gone this long in my life without ever realizing I've been wanting a Soulslike FPS all this time. Snapping necks, going medieval with a machete, and blasting away with some kickass 60s-inspired future weaponry is a real fun time...and to do it over and over again with new approaches makes it just as addictive as Hades.

Now we just need a No One Lives Forever reboot or sequel with these aesthetics btw.

I'll have to see for myself but I assume by the way this game progresses there will be some loose ends it doesn't feel like tying up.

Bethesda must hate Arkane because they practically never market their titles and then they wonder why games like Prey 2017 "bombed".

Gotta make sure to perm the abilities when you beat the level, unless you just arent making it out alive.

I had a good time with the game and got pretty addicted up until the final loop. But I really only used one power and like two guns. Wish I felt compelled to try different things. Hope they put out some kind of dlc in the future that expands on that world.

Loosely speaking, it's in relation to overworld traversing, strategizing for enemy crowd control, PvP invasions, and obviously dying without feeling the harshness of a pure roguelike game (if you lock-in your weapons and trinkets anyway) that takes literally everything from you upon death.

I think there are some fundamental issues that stop it from being a 10/10. The loot system and the lackluster implementation of the time loop mechanic are the biggest problems for me.
