It was the late 1800s when rich Jews advertised it to all and made it "fashionable" for the main population to get a circumcision. Before them, it was almost exclusively the Jewish community that got circumcisions.

lol I'm not speaking negatively on the subject nor saying it was a nefarious deed. I'm just saying the fact that rich Jews did in fact start advertising that circumcision was FASHIONABLE and healthy in the late 1800s and people bought into it!
