I think it's possible you might regret it if you do it once and you find it was disappointing/or bad, and decide to write it off entirety because of that.

personally, I've never had this desire and it's not something that I've done, but I can think of a number of other things that I initially didn't like, or felt that I hated, and I came around to enjoying them after giving them more chances.
