If you are in a bad place psychologically and you can't control things like your eating habits, do you feel now is a good time to be in a relationship? Honestly, it might be how you conduct yourself that turns most of these ladies off. I'm 100% not throwing shade here: I'm tired, sick, overweight, and in such a miserable position I couldn't adopt gerbil and give it a good life. Maybe taking a break and working to get yourself in a better place mentally and physically would be good? You have to love yourself before you can love and take care of another person.

this is fantastic advice. Did this very thing and focused on myself lately. Lost a ton of weight and am now dating this really hot doctor after getting shot down a ton. Was very overweight and the type of girls I was attracted to were not attracted to me because of my appearance.
