I'm currently watching The Squid Game.
It would be nice if I could turn off the background sound subtitles. [foreboding music begins to play] [foreboding music continues] [music ends] [tongue clicking] [inhales] [exhales] [crickets chirping] [feet walking] *lol* It's just far too much. Any way to only have speech dialog translated on the screen and not include any background sounds? Cheers. :) ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's called SDH and it's captions+subtitles.
Pretty sure there was an option to turn that off, but I haven't checked in a good while. --- "Fear cuts deeper than swords." ... Copied to Clipboard!

Thank you! I switched to Other. Then clicked on English. Not English (CC) which was the default setting. No more reading [sighs] and [grunts] every ten seconds. :D ... Copied to Clipboard!

I leave them on, just to confirm stuff like dogs barking outside or sirens in distance are coming from the tv and are not IRL
