17 y/o Whacko, Benjamin Elliot from Texas confessed to murdering his TWIN SISTER but told police he was SLEEP WALKING when he repeatedly plunged a large knife into her NECK while she was SLEEPING!!

He was booked into jail on a count of murder for the brutal slaying of Meghan Elliot that happened in the family home in Katy

A judge set his bond at 100,000 but he was not present during the proceedings and is at a mental health unti

A prosecutor believes Benjamin admitted to stabbing his sister to death but claims to have been "sleeping" or "dreaming" at the time and only realized what had happened when he pulled the knife from her neck and then applied pressure on her wound with a pillow

He called 911 to report the stabbing and was instructed by the operator to perform CPR.

He then alerted his parents who woke up and rushed to the bedroom to find their son performing CPR who were reportedly screaming and crying in the background according to the dispatcher

Benjamin has no history of sleep disorders and had not ingested any drugs or alcohol

Prosecutors say he will be tried for murder as an adult

Both attended Cypress Park High School and neighbors recalled seeing them walk together to and from the bus stop daily.

One neighbor recounted recently seeing him open an umbrella for his sister from the rain

Meghan was pronounced dead at the scene with multiple stab wounds on her neck

Not false per s. It seems the clinical definition of "sleepwalking" is just much broader than the colloquial one.

Although the idea that a form of sleepwalking is basically the opposite of sleep paralysis, is quite scary.

I've had some extremely terrifying night terrors where I am half in the dream world and half in reality. I always had to really focus and breathe to get out of them, but I can see how someone could completely lose it and do something insane. Obviously very hard to prove though.

It sounds strange but there have been reports of people killing others in their sleep. Apparently there is an even weirder story of a guy driving to his mother-in-laws house in his sleep and murdering her (no motive, no known bad blood between the two).

I dont know if this kid is telling the truth but he actually could be.

I don't know, I've never had it medically appraised. I think you might be right, but mine involved me being fully mobile. I could walk around in reality but I was still stuck in two realities at once (reality and the fucked up terrifying dreamworld I was inhabiting).

My first one was when I was 13. I was convinced that I was riding a broomstick as if I was playing Quidditch. However, both my eyes had come out my my sockets, and were flying around me as if they were the 'snitches'. They were both as sharp as razorblades however and were flying around lacerating me. My parents had me describe this aloud to them while I also rationalized that I was in reality but extremely terrified. I focused really hard on Two and a Half Men (they were watching it) to ground myself and bring myself back.

I just feel that I've had such extremely bizarre dreams (a couple more instances like the one above), and I can see how someone might not have that small attachment to reality that I always seem to possess. I have that trait while very high on drugs too. I might be extremely overwhelmed, but I know that reality exists and I can wait things out.

Another one felt like Satan or a demon was inside of me; it just felt like violence and evil. I knew that I could meditate it out, so I went down 2 floors and laid down on the basement floor to feel 'connected to the earth'. Normally I do not think in this way at all. I was very sick with tonsillitis and had just experienced extreme pain on two airplane rides from Iceland to Western Canada. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling absolutely bizarre. This one seems most similar to sleep paralysis stories people have about demons at the end of their bed, but I was still fully mobile and it felt like I had Satan inside of me \_()_/

If this guy is telling the truth, hopefully it would be apparent in his emotional state and recounting of his awful discovery, if that's what it was.

Hasn't happened for 9 years, and I always knew they were simply 'dreams'. I had a lot of terrifying dismemberment dreams as a child, so even the waking ones were distinguishable as dreams.
