You save so much more money with their low prices and you don't have to worry about what you buy because their return policy is so lenient.

Costco has the cheapest gas around. I save more than $60/year just from fuel.

Take a lesson from parakeets. If you're ever feeling lonely, just eat in front of a mirror.

You pay $60 up front but save on everything you buy.
Now if your average discount is 10%, that means you need to buy about $600 worth of stuff to pay for your membership. Most people who get a costco membership will buy their groceries there. You can get a LOT of good quality food in bulk for a discount, and can easily spend $400 and get about what you would get spending $600-$800 at a regular grocery store. (And that's probably a lowball estimate.)

$60 is a small price to pay for that.
Costco makes you spend more cause everything is in bulk. Also some stuff aren't cheaper than other places.

I have to drive 40 miles to another state to get to my closest Costco, unfortunately. If it was closer, i'd be a member for sure.

i definitely make more savings off the 60$ membership fee.

just by psn cards alone it paid for itself within 3 month's
it's also the only place that sells chicken jerky for dogs and save reasonably on chicken patty's/strips and meatballs (3$ a pound on meatballs).

Depends on the food and your options for storing and using it.

had to invest into a chest freezer. it holds 2-3x more stuff than the average freezer. i may need to toss tortillas kinda lost out the fad for breakfast burrito's.

Worth it for less perishable items alone. Toilet paper, paper towels, pet food, cat litter, canned soda/seltzer, dish detergent, etc.. you really cannot beat them on those things price-wise in the long run. They have $5 rotisserie chickens which are great as well. Also have a huge wine and liquor selection which you aren't buying in bulk (unless you want to, they do sell full cases of wine). They have good deals on random stuff as well. I got a mini fridge there that was better than anything at Home Depot or Lowes or other places for less $.

I'd say the biggest con for me is I can't get a full shopping run completed there, and also I guess I can't justify buying in bulk on a lot of things, including perishables and stuff like beans where you have to get 12 at a time.
