From the perspective of Geopolitics, this move allow China and Pakistan to gain more control and influence in the region. I am also worried about terrorism that might occur in the region as a result of the Taliban gaining more power. This is definitely not good news for India. I expect more attacks in the Kashmir region like in the 90s when the Taliban were in power. And of course, the Afghanistani women and children I feel the worst for. A lot of people have said we wasted a lot of lives and money in the region but I feel there is a reason to be in Afghanistan. I've seen people compare this situation to Vietnam. Like Feb. - May last year should have been spent getting a count of how many refugees were needed and finding out how many other countries were willing to take in.
