This month's free PS+ game on PS5 that is also a battle royale!

Surprisingly fun and addictive despite it's blatant B-tierness. The level of polish is less of an Apex or a Fornite and more of a PUBG. There's a certain level of jank to the whole experience and the dash and jump buttons don't always work the way you want them to.

This one has an RPG spin to it where you and 29 other players drop into a map with AI controlled monsters to fight that drop loot and exp and you level up and improve your gear to take on other players. You have a light and heavy attack and 3 specials at the beginning and you unlock a 4th special and super once you hit level 10. You can chain them all together into one big combo if you execute them all with correct timing and really wreck your opponents. However you have defensive options as well because all skills work on cooldowns you can find openings to block, counter or blow away your opponent as a one time last resort to allow you to get away. The combat in general feels really good and definitely the highlight.

I had a lot of fun of solos because I found it much easier to deal with players 1 and a time and run if I had to, but also because I had an over 20% win rate in that mode lolz. Trios was much harder unless you're playing with friends with mics because the pinging system isn't very good and it's hard to tell people when you're being attacked so unless you're literally stick to your teammates the entire time someone always ends up going off in a different direction and getting ambushed by a full team.

The platinum required 12 wins total with at least 1 solo and one trios, gain a total of 2000 levels over the course of the game, use healing potions 5000 times, kill 2000 monsters, dismantle 500 items, use 30 traps, use 30 throwable items, enhance 100 items and open up 200 treasure chests.

If you got a PS5 at least give it a chance you might end up liking it!
