They still haven't even figured out how exactly they're going to measure how far somebody has gone, so it's really not likely that the end result of this bill will actually be a per mile tax. Yeah, I'm definitely happy to see money for broadband investments. Cable and DSL internet need to go the way of the dinosaur. Fiber can be run all over the country and can reach much further than coax and phone lines can for data transfers.
