Which is a huge problem. Chris-Chan is essentially the worst case scenario. They represent all the worst claims people say about trans women as a whole. Do you agree with them when they suspend and ban an obvious conservative troll who randomly goes "please use me preferred gender ___" when there's no evidence to support they were suddenly trans? Those instances should result in a suspension because everyone on this site knows the bullshit they are doing. According to your logic regarding Chris Chan, you would disagree.

Yeah, ChrisChan is fake trans to try and sleep with lesbians.

Point is, it's a good thing he's in jail now.

If Chris goes to prison, it is 100% going to be a male prison. If that happens he will probably be dead within a year.

I hate to be a sea lion here, but that whole its just to get girls thing is being posted a lot, but no actual concrete evidence of that is being cited. At all.

I could claim that there is a small kobold living in my laundry hamper who is harvesting my sweat to create a range of boutique artisanal cheeses.

There, we have just as much evidence in this topic that Chris Chan is faking it as I have a tiny cheesemonger nestling in my delicates.

All the information I can find on her "not really being trans" is second-hand. There's just as much disinformation about her as information given she's been the 4chan whipping post for decades.

Oh I didn't know you were addressing me. I was never a lead mod, and I don't really keep mod friends despite your presumptions. Heck I didn't really have mod friends when I was a mod, apart from a couple of people I was friends with prior to that, but this was way back in the early days.

Anyway your question presumes that people are getting modded for claiming they're transgender. Are they?

I've seen instances where an obvious troll alt pops up (usually someone like 462) and claims to be transgender but then goes on to concern troll. They usually get suspended.

If you can give me a source that isnt someone else going she said shes trans just so she can get a girlfriend I will quite willingly and without rancour apologise to anyone I may have inadvertently offended by trying to respect someones presented gender.

Well that's conveniently vague. I wouldn't be able to make my own judgment call unless I had specific messages to address.

But I guess to answer your question as directly as I can, I would not mod someone for posting a topic simply saying their trans, even if they'd been on this board for years.

Chris Chan never said they transitioned specifically to get with lesbian women.

That myth is likely a conflation / grapevine of the following things they did do:

1. Talk about a fantasy about dressing up like a girl and fitting in at a lesbian bar.
2. The lesbian sex audition
3. Say they don't think trans women are real women and would never have sex with one

3 is something that happens all the time to people who later come out as trans in the same way people who are gay will run entire political careers based on hating gay people. The other two are just gross.
