Was it to be a driver? I went to one of those. You work 12-15 hour shifts. 60-70 hour weeks. They literally tell you it's probably not for you if you are in a relationship

You could make the same just working two jobs

I work for Australia Post delivering mail and small parcels. We're busy, but Im glad our hours arent that bad. I occasionally do an 11 hour day at the very worst.

On busy days its a real struggle because my delivery centre is understaffed. We have to do bits of other rounds on top of our own.
Currently it is busy with lots of letters because of the census next week. Yesterday I had to do a section of a different round with two days worth of mail. By the time I finished that, I only had time to get half of my own round done.

That's not an option with UPS. If you don't finish your run you get at least a few days on the street and your supervisor loses his job.
