Out of those? I guess Chrono Trigger

As much as I liked Persona 5, that game is too damn long >_>

Chrono Trigger is short and relatively easy. It's a great introduction to the genre. Not to mention it's got a great story, characters, music, graphics, etc.

Chrono Trigger easily out of those games. I feel like Golden Sun 1 and 2 are great entry point JRPGs. Just the dialogue can be a little heavy at times which isn't that big a deal the first time through IMO

Yakuza Like a Dragon, because it's the rare JRPG with a modern/realistic setting

Depends entirely on why they've never played one.

Not going to recommend something like Octopath if they don't enjoy turn-based gameplay.

Not going to recommend something like FFX if they don't like the over-the-top voice acting.

Not going to recommend Persona if they don't like seeing children being sexually objectified.

Not going to recommend Tales if they don't like the power of friendship bullshit.

Gotta cater to their tastes if you actually want them to enjoy the experience.
