What's Resolve? Picking up Items that say it Costs X Resolve.

Is there still just the first area? I cleared it, and I didn't have a boss to fight since I think I beat it awhile ago, but i couldn't get to any of the other area. I needed something to get to one of them, one of them had these strange floors and I couldn't get up, and the bottom one said it's still in Development

Suddenly Im not as irritated that it didn't come to console. Maybe we'll get the version that's actually done later on.

The game is still in beta so not all zones are finished. But getting to new zones is often locked behind an ability you get from special trials. It's a lot more structured and linear than its predecessor in this way. It is possible to defeat some bosses and access some areas without these abilities, but it takes lucky rolls with character generation and world generation plus some skill.

Resolve, iirc, is a restriction on how many items you can take in a run. The less resolve you have, the weaker your attacks or the more damage you take I think. It only applies if the game gives you a lot of OP items.
