It's good shit. A little jank at times(That goddamn exeggutor 4* request or the odd "no subject" that makes no sense and occasionally lit ass photos being scored poorly but that was inevitable as no way a game console can run an A.I that can think enough like a human for such a subjective thing) as well as progression being a little grindy or cryptic at times.

But DAMN is it MEATY for an on rails game. It's quite pretty and creative too. Lots of great references to series lore and interesting secrets. Almost every level has a day/night Variant with a lot of differences in behaviors and mons that show up plus a secret path or two. Pokemon have a wide variety of behaviors and levels also evolve as you score more points. Pokemon might become friendly or come out of hiding so the next time you visit a level it's fairly different(this happens twice usually and you can revert to previous versions of a level If you want)

Pokemon personalities really shine through in this game. They play pranks, protect their kids, play with each other, do loop de loops while flying, get unintentionally(or intentionally) yeeted by larger pokemon, herd together, catch prey, etc. Some are really curious about your presence while others hide, get aggressive or mostly ignore you.

One of my favorite games of the year and on switch in general.

I kinda don't want to look up a guide but some stages I'll be damned if I can't figure out how to get enough points to advance because I've tried every combination of things I can think of and still can't work out how to get a 4 star pose on some of these Pokmon
