I miss when you had to go to the store blindly and pay the same price you pay today for a game that started you in a place with super bullshit artificial difficulty to make sure you didn't beat it in under an hour. Those were the glory days. I would sometimes get to talking about the games he's up to and he's not playing them so much as he's finding ways to optimize them, get the best hardware, look for the games that utilize it the most. I'm over here playing Ace Attorney and Yakuza games and dopey little indie stuff and having a great time, and he never seems to be happy with what he plays. Antisocial as shit too. He's not really part of our friend circle anymore since he lost his job, lost his house, and is now living across the country with his parents. It feels like they are just trying to take our money at this point. They need to come out with some SAO technology already so we can have fun in those games man. That will be epic.
