I absolutely hate it when I'm actually doing it. After it's done and I've had a shower, I feel better and more alert than I usually am.

Because it releases certain chemicals in your brain.

I always got it intensely during races but not so much when just training.

I can't do it.
My shins begin to hurt and within a few minutes I'm doubled over in absolute agony, I can walk 15-25 miles though, it's just the running I can't do.

I was like that at 340lbs. But i got used to it by slowly working up my speed and tredmill incline.

If you listen to music while running I think it helps.

IDK if it's a runner high but I do get something that feels amazing sometimes, not always from running but sometimes at my gym. I'm usually listening to music in the middle of exercising when it happens. I feel completely energized and I can feel the blood pulsing through my scalp with every heartbeat. I think I can even hear it (might be my imagination)

Ive never liked running, even outdoors where theres more to see and engage with. Was never good at it and always felt I wasnt suited for it. That said, I agree that its probably one of the best activities you can do for yourself, plus I feel better even after two days of having done it.

Certain songs do help. Especially if you have your own routine playlist.

It took me like 3 years to love running. But it was worth it. Now I feel antsy if I havent done it in a while. And I get jealous when I see others jogging outside lol

edit: I had also broken an ankle bone in college so I had to take it really slow at first. So many days of having to stop out of pure pain. But I havent felt that pain anymore, thank goodness

You sound just like me lol.

Jeeze Louise, youve got me beat on not liking running, or at least experiencing it in a negative way.

I guess thatll motivate me to stop complaining when I go out for a run again soon.

yeah its not fun, killed my interest in soccer too since that game is mostly running around a big field. luckily biking and swimming are much lower impact and dont cause an issue.

Running on dirt and grass is generally fine. But running on concrete should be banned by the Geneva convention as a war crime.
